BEHIND THE SCENES: BUILDING MOMENTUM — Q3 2025 UPDATE
“Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.”
That’s been my mantra for the past 90 days. If Q2 was about proving that Bareborn was creating value, then Q3 was about scaling.
⸻
What’s Changed Since Last Quarter
In Q2, I was still doing everything — filming, packing, replying, dropping off parcels myself.
- We now have real customers coming back for their second and third bottles.
- Our reviews have grown 5x, and TikTok Lives are now pulling in a small but loyal audience every weekend. We have reviews thanking god for the creating of this product. Insane.
- Existing customers are referring their friends and colleagues — and these are guys referring other guys and females are starting to try our product too, and some have been coming back to stock up more. Just imagine that.
- We also found our content niche: unhinged, authentic that are mostly unrelated to skincare, but it resonates with our audience of driven men.
- Those videos now rack up 50K–100K views each, and we just crossed 1,000 followers on TikTok.
- Sales hit new highs — 2x growth quarter-over-quarter, with 0 ads. When I first launched, I thought it would take at least 18 months to sell our first batch. Now, we’re projected to sell out in the next six weeks.
⸻
Experiments and Improvements in Q3
Here’s what we’ve tested and refined this quarter:
- Upgraded mailer packaging — cleaner, sleeker, more premium. The unboxing now matches the quality of our skincare product.
- Refined TikTok content strategy — more unfiltered, “unhinged” storytelling that sparks reactions and debate.
- Listed on Shopee — new platform, new challenges. Interestingly, many TikTok customers shifted there, giving us strong “units sold” numbers and 5-star reviews.
- First offline channel — Bareborn is now stocked in a premium barber store. Early days, but it’s a milestone.
⸻
What Worked
- TikTok Lives remain the strongest driver of trust and sales.
- Unfiltered and polarizing content works — it creates two camps, just like in politics.
- Authentic storytelling beats scripted perfection.
Basically — the less perfect it looks, the more people believe it.
⸻
What Didn’t Work
- Instagram content — reposting TikToks doesn’t translate to the same virality.
- Hard selling — repeating features doesn’t convert; connection does.
⸻
What’s Next for Q4
Q4 will focus on Bareborn Version 2 — taking the Multi-Purpose Face Solution to a new level, unlike anything seen in the skincare industry.
We’re treating skincare like tech — continuously innovating, improving, and releasing new versions that outperform the last.
We’re even slowing down sales to avoid selling out before Version 2 launches.
Some loyal customers already know what’s coming — and they’re sold on it, even with a possible price increase.
We are reconsidering the need to run ads, because customers are just buying the product, they are buying an identity. Which would be hard to replicate in ads.
⸻
From Product to Purpose
It’s been only six months.
But if you told me we’d be almost sold out and already developing Version 2, I wouldn’t have believed you.
Now I realize this is bigger than skincare.
Bareborn is becoming a movement — for men and even some women believes in our values: Selfless ambition, taking ownership & brutal honesty.
To everyone who’s supported, bought, reviewed, or even just watched silently — thank you.
Every bottle sold keeps this dream alive.
Let’s see what the next 90 days bring.
Stay unconquerable,
Jozua – Founder
